frequently asked questions

Are your ceramics food-safe?

Yes! All of our ceramics are food-safe and lead-free, so you can sip, whisk, and serve with total peace of mind.
Are they microwave-safe?

We recommend keeping them out of the microwave. Our pieces are handmade for matcha, and sudden temperature changes can cause cracking.

For the same reason, avoid pouring boiling water into a cold bowl. Warming it with hot tap water first works best.
How do I clean my ceramics?

Handwash only, please! A gentle rinse with warm water and mild soap is all they need. Skip the dishwasher and harsh scrubbers to keep the glaze looking beautiful for years to come.

Really beautiful ceramics! The colors are so vibrant. The only disappointing thing is that none of my whisks fit the whisk holder. The whisk holder is too big and the whisks pop right off of it.

Thank you so much for your kind words, and we’re sorry to hear the whisk holder isn’t fitting your whisks properly. We’d love the chance to make this right. Please email us at motmatcha@gmail.com with your order information, and our team will take care of you!
