frequently asked questions

Where does your matcha come from?

All of our matcha is grown and stone-ground in Japan. We source from specific regions like Shizuoka or Yame because each place gives the tea its own character.

What's the difference between a single cultivar and a blend?

A cultivar is a specific variety of the tea plant, and each one has its own aroma, flavor, and color. Single-cultivar matcha lets you taste one variety on its own, while blends combine cultivars for a balanced, consistent cup.

How should I store my matcha?

We know, the tin is cute. But the best way to keep your matcha green and fresh for the longest is to keep it in its silver bag! Just seal the bag, tuck it inside the tin, and pop it in the fridge.
