Where does your matcha come from?

All of our matcha is grown and stone-ground in Japan. We source from specific regions like Shizuoka or Yame because each place gives the tea its own character. 
What's the difference between a single cultivar and a blend?

A cultivar is a specific variety of the tea plant, and each one has its own aroma, flavor, and color. Single-cultivar matcha lets you taste one variety on its own, while blends combine cultivars for a balanced, consistent cup.
How should I store my matcha?

Keep your matcha sealed in its tin and store it somewhere cool and dark, preferably in the fridge. Avoid sunlight. Only open it when you're ready to enjoy it, and finish it within one month of opening for the best flavor

the 001 matcha is wonderful. the flavor is light, a little floral, and earthy. it has a natural sweetness too and it's really smooth. it's fantastic for lattes and prob one of my favs for lattes i've had, esp if they are flavored lattes.

the hojicha has a great flavor profile. really deep roasted, smokey flavor as compared to other hojichas. unfortunately had to take a star off for how chalky and grainy it was. i tried preparing it in multiple different ways, but it never got rid of the grainy texture.
